RAJOURI, Sept 1: The police arrested two narcotic peddlers and recovered a consignment of charas from their possession in Manjakote area late last evening.
An official spokesman said that a team headed by SHO Manjakote, Harmohinder Singh under the supervision of SDPO Manjakote Tanveer Jeelani, during routine checking on Kalali- Nadyal road intercepted a motorcycle No. JK11B- 7764. The bike driver tried to evade the naka party, which however, managed to intercept the motorcycle.
During frisking, 14 full and one half rolls of Charas with weight 365 grams were recovered from the possession of accused driver- Rafaqat Khan, son of Mohammad Sayed, resident of Rajdhani and Mohammad Ishfaq, son of Mohammad Dil Pazir, resident of Galuthi.
Both the accused have been arrested and a case in FIR No. 130/2021 under section 8/20/29 NDPS Act has been registered in Police Station, Manjakote. Further, investigation was in progress.
