KISHTWAR, Aug 6: Two men were arrested along with 208 kilograms of banned medicinal herb, commonly known as ‘nagchattri’ from Bindraban.
Based on a tip-off, the sleuths of Forest Protection Force (FPF) under the supervision of Deputy Director FPF Kishtwar Khalid Amin Mehta intercepted a Tata 407 vehicle bearing registration number JKO2D-1961 at Bindraban.
During searches, 208 kg ‘nagchattri’ was recovered from the vehicle and two accused identified as Mohammad Younis, son of Assaduallah Butt of Thalala, tehsil Thathri, district Doda and Firdous Ahmed, son of Abdul Rashid of Mangote Marmat were arrested on the spot.
A case has been registered and investigations started
