Rajouri, May 14: General Officer Commanding (GOC) White Knight Corps, Lieutenant General P.K. Mishra, accompanied by GOC Romeo Force, Major General Vijay Mahadevan, and Brigadier B.S. Sandhu, Commander 13 Sector Rashtriya Rifles, visited the forward areas of Narian, Jaran Wali Gali (JWG), and Totagali sectors in Rajouri district on Wednesday to assess the prevailing security situation.
During the visit, the senior Army officers took stock of the operational preparedness and existing security arrangements in the region. They were briefed on the ongoing counter-terrorism operations, anti-infiltration measures, and strategies being implemented to safeguard the Line of Control (LoC) and maintain internal peace.
Interacting with the troops deployed in these sensitive areas, the GOC White Knight Corps lauded their courage, professionalism, and unwavering dedication to duty. He emphasized the importance of maintaining high morale and full operational readiness to effectively counter threats from across the border and from within.
The officers expressed appreciation for the 24×7 vigilance and high standards of discipline demonstrated by the personnel on ground. They also praised the seamless coordination among all security forces operating in the region, which plays a vital role in ensuring a safe and secure environment for the local population.
Addressing the troops, Lieutenant General Mishra urged them to continue performing their duties with the same level of zeal and determination, especially in the face of harsh weather and operational challenges. He stressed upon the need to strictly adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain operational effectiveness while minimizing risks.
In a message to the adversaries, the Army Commanders asserted that any misadventure or attempt to disturb peace would be met with a firm and befitting response.
The visit by the top Army leadership reaffirmed the Army’s commitment to safeguarding the sovereignty of the nation and ensuring peace and stability in the region.
