2 drug peddlers nabbed with contraband

POONCH, Apr 4: The police today arrested two drug peddlers and recovered about 95 gms of contraband substance from their possession near Nangali on Poonch-Mandi road.
A police spokesman said that police party led by SI Mohd Altaf under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Mujeeb-Ur-Rehman intercepted two youth during naka near Nangali village and recovered 95 gms of contraband material from their possession. Both were arrested and a case FIR No. 52/2016, was registered against them.
The accused have been identified as Niaz Ahmed, son of Bashir Ahmed Lone, resident of Chandak and Sahib-Ud-Din, son of Mohd Din, resident of Jallian village in Mandi.
Meanwhile, the police also recovered a stolen motor-cycle belonging to one Maninder Pal Singh of Poonch. In this connection one Zahoor Ahmed hailing from Loran has been arrested.
