Srinagar, Dec 9: Police from north Kashmir’s Baramulla district have arrested and jailed two drug peddlers.
A police spokesman said two more drug peddlers in Baramulla were booked under Jammu and Kashmr Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and have been sent to Kathua and Udhampur jails.
“The peddlers who were booked have been identified as Abdul Majeed Mir alias Majnoon and Altaf Ahmad Bhat alias Altaf Major. Pertinent to mention that to curb this menace in the society 5 drug paddlers have so far been detained under this Act by the districts,” the spokesman said.
