2 drug peddlers arrested with heroin

JAMMU, July 29: Gujjar Nagar and Bagh-e-Bahu Police arrested two drug peddlers along with heroin.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Gujjar Nagar Police Post led by ASI Mohammad Iqbal laid a naka and intercepted a scooty bearing registration number JK02BM-3599.
During checking, police team recovered 2 grams heroin from the possession of the rider and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Arun Kumar, son of Romesh Kumar of Chand Nagar, Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 49/19 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Peer Mitha and investigation initiated.
Meanwhile, a team from Bagh-a-Bahu Police Station led by ASI Mohammad Akram while on routine patrolling duty at Ragoora apprehended a drug peddler along with 2 grams of heroin.
The accused has been identified as Showkat Ali, son of Nazir Ahmed of Nai Kali Dhorah District Samba.
A case under FIR Number 64/19 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu and investigation started.
