JAMMU, Nov 28: Narwal police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 200 grams cannabis from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Narwal Police Post led by SI Khyati Maan Khajuria laid a naka and intercepted two pedestrians, who were moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 200 grams cannabis from the possession of the pedestrians and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Pawan Kumar, son of Gusha Ram of Chowki Choura Tehsil Akhnoor District Jammu and Bhuveshan Sgarma, son of Gian Chand, a resident of Tehsil Akhnoor, District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 303/19 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Bahu Fort Police Station and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment and other persons involved in this illegal trade.
