SAMBA, Oct 17: The police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 500 gms charas from their possession near Mansar in Samba district last night.
Acting on a specific information, a police party intercepted truck bearing registration No. JK02A/7606 loaded with Apples. It was on way to Jallandhar from Kupwara in Kashmir. During search, the police recovered half- kilogram of charas hidden in the vehicle.
The police arrested both the accused persons namely, Mushtaq Ahmed Magray, son of Ghulam Rasool and Tariq Ahmed Khan, son of Ghulam Rasool, both residents of Watterkhani, Kupwara. A case FIR No. 200/ 2012 was registered against the accused persons.
