JAMMU, July 3: Janipur Police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ nabbed two drug peddlers and recovered cannabis from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Janipur Police Station laid a naka at Roop Nagar and intercepted a Maruti car bearing registration number JK02Q-0133.
During checking, police recovered 1.400 grams cannabis from the possession of two persons travelling in the car and arrested them.
The arrested persons have been identified as Kalu Ram, son of Dwarka Nath and Tarseem Lal, son of Girdhari Lal, both residents of Jhiri Dhaba Mishriwala Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 59/18 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Janipur Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Janipur SI Bimal Indu made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO West Pranav Mahajan, Incharge SP City Vinay Kumar and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
