UDHAMPUR, Feb 16: Two drug peddlers were held by Police in Majalta area of Udhampur and a very small quantity of heroin like substance was recovered from their possession, here today .
The accused were travelling in a vehicle (JK14K-0657) , which was intercepted by Police at Baryalta on Plater Road. Upon frisking of the driver and his associate, the police team recovered 1.34 grams of heroin like contraband substance from their possession following which the duo was arrested.
The accused were identified as Ajay Singh of Majalta and Karan Singh of Ramkot. A case FIR, under section 8/21/22/ NDPS Act has been registered in this connection at P/S Majalta.
