SRINAGAR, June 9: Police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 40 bottles of codeine phosphate from their possession here today.
A police spokesman said that a police party of Police Post, Chanapora led by in-charge Police Post, Syed Iqbal laid a naka at Mandir Post. During naka checking two persons namely Umar Gul Bhat, a resident of Natipora and Shanawaz Ahmad Mir, a resident of Azad Basti Natipora were apprehended.
He said on search, 40 bottles of codeine phosphate were recovered from their possession and in this regard, a case FIR Number 87/2018 under Section 8/21 NDPS Act stands registered in Police Station Sadder and investigation was taken up.
