UDHAMPUR, Nov 10: Police arrested two inter-district drug peddlers at Tikri and recovered 16.53 grams of heroin from their possession.
The accused were travelling in an Innova car, bearing registration number JK01M-3679, which was coming from Jammu towards Srinagar and stopped by a Police team of PP Tikri, during routine naka checking. During their personal search, 16.53 grams of heroin was recovered from them.
On questioning, the accused disclosed their identities as Mohd Yousaf Joo, son of Ab Rashid Joo, resident of Pampore, Pulwama and Zaffer Ahmad Bhat, son of Bashir Ahmad Bhat, resident of Wuyan Bala, Pulwama.
The duo was taken into custody and in this connection, case FIR No. 189/2025 under Sections 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Rehambal.
