RAJOURI, Aug 23: Two persons died under mysterious circumstances in Kotranka and Darhal areas in district Rajouri on Tuesday.
Reports said the dead body of a youth was found in a room of his house at Marhuta village in Kotranka area under suspicious circumstances on Tuesday morning. The family informed police which immediately reached the spot and shifted it to Kotranka hospital.
The police said 18-year-old, Mohd Qadeer, went to sleep in his room last night as usual, but did not come out of the room for a long time in the morning. Then the family broke the door of the room and found the boy lying unconscious. The family immediately informed the police and the police took him into custody and rushed him to the Government hospital in Kotranka where the doctors declared him as brought dead. The police started investigation under 174 CrPC.
Meanwhile, a 30-year-old youth, Mukhtar Ahmed also died under mysterious circumstances at Karhad village in Darhal tehsil. Police said Mukhtar Ahmed’s family members found him unconscious in the room and took him to GMC Rajouri where he died during treatment.
I/C Supt GMC Rajouri, Dr Mehmood Bajar told that Mukhtar died of poison, but under what circumstances he consumed the poison, it is a matter of investigation. After registering a case, the police started investigation into the matter.
