2 die of COVID, 703 test +ve

JAMMU, July 30: Two persons including a woman died of COVID-19 while 703 persons tested positive in Jammu and Kashmir today.
Both casualties and 209 cases were logged in Jammu division while 494 cases were registered in the Kashmir valley.
A 45-year-old woman hailing from Bari Brahamana in Samba district died of co-morbidities and COVID-19 at DMC Ludhiana.
An 83-year-old man from village Kirmu in Ramnagar tehsil of Udhampur district succumbed to the virus and ailments at home.
With this, COVID toll in Samba has gone up to 126 and Udhampur to 148. Death toll in Jammu region stood at 2341.
Among 209 fresh cases in Jammu division, 109 were registered in Jammu district, 20 in Udhampur, 19 Doda, 16 Rajouri, 15 Kishtwar, 11 Ramban, six each in Kathua and Poonch districts, five in Samba and two in Reasi district.
Jammu region now has 1808 active positive cases.
Meanwhile, the Union Territory of Ladakh today reported 10 new COVID positive cases including eight in Kargil district and two in Leh,
Ladakh now has 133 active positive cases—118 in Leh and 15 in Kargil.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 494 COVID-19 cases.
Those who tested positive include 240 from Srinagar, Baramulla 101, Budgam 42, Kupwara 43, Anantnag 32, Bandipora 16, Ganderbal 6, Kulgam 13 and Shopian 1.
