SRINAGAR, June 8: Two persons lost their lives in separate incidents in Kashmir Valley.
A police spokesman said that one Mohammad Muzaffar Bajran (Bakarwal) son of Bagh Hussain resident of Sunderbani-Rajouri slipped into the power canal at Preng-Kangan. The body of Muzaffar was fished out and handed over to his next of kin for last rites.
A Road Roller driver of 53-RCC (GREF) Sunil Kumar died in his unit lines of 58 DETT, at Khachar Batri, Baramulla. Police has initiated inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC in this regard.
An employee of PDD was injured while repairing HT lines in District Budgam. Thirty years old Mohammad Amin Bhat son of Abdul Khaliq resident of Saidpora-Beerwah received an electric shock while repairing HT Lines at Zandwan-Beerwah, resulting in his serious injuries. The injured was shifted to SMHS, Srinagar for treatment.
Police said that 50 years old Ghulam Rasool Sofi son of Abdul Salam resident of Arwah-Beerwah was hit by a cloud burst and was seriously injured. The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital Beerwah for treatment.
