REASI/KATHUA, June 11: Two persons were killed in two separate road accidents in Reasi and Kathua area today.
Reports from Reasi said that 35-year-old Ashok Kumar, son of Tara Chand, resident of Sundwan village was killed on the spot after his tractor-trolley rolled into 200 feet deep nallah at Seli Khud last night. The people came to know about the accident only in the morning.
The police party from Reasi reached the spot and shifted the body to hospital for postmortem. A case was registered in this connection.
Reports from Kathua said that middle aged Biko Dass, son of Heena Dass, resident of Orissa and at present working as labourer at Kathua was hit by a tourist bus No. UP22T/2001 on National Highway at Kali Bari near Kathua at around 11 pm last night. He was rushed to hospital where doctors declared him as dead.
The police seized the bus while driver managed to escape. A case in this connection has been registered.
