RAJOURI, July 8: Two persons were killed after their bike was hit by a Tata Mobile vehicle near Muradpur on Jammu-Rajouri road this afternoon.
A police spokesman said that the mishap took place at around 2 pm when the 24-year-old Muktar Ahmed, son of Mohd Latief of Nagrota and his minor relative, Zafar Iqbal (16), son of Mohd Hanief were on way to Rajouri on their bike. Near Muradpur, a Tata Mobile vehicle No. JK-11/ 3916 coming from the opposite direction hit the bike killing both (Mama-Bhanja) on the spot. The vehicle driver escaped from the sport.
Later, police party from Rajouri reached the spot and shifted the dead bodies to District Hospital for postmortem. A case was registered in this connection by police.
