2 die, 65 test +ve in J&K; no case in Ladakh

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/LEH, Feb 11: Two persons died and 65 tested positive for COVID-19 while 40 others recovered from the virus in Jammu and Kashmir.
Significantly, no COVID positive case was today reported from the Union Territory of Ladakh, which now has 9762 cases but just 52 active positives as 9580 have recovered from the virus and there have been 130 fatalities including 86 in Leh and 44 in Kargil.
Both casualties in J&K were reported from Kashmir. The victims were hospitalized where they succumbed to the virus.
Fifteen positive cases were reported in Jammu region, nine of them in Jammu and six in Udhampur district. No cases were reported in rest eight districts. Six persons recovered from the virus in Jammu region including four in Poonch and two in Kathua.
Jammu region now has 51695 Corona cases. Of them, 128 are active positives while 50845 have recovered from the virus and there have been 722 casualties.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 50 COVID-19 positive cases.
Those who tested positive in include 20 from Srinagar, 6 Baramulla, 4 Budgam, 6 Pulwama, 1 Kupwara, 5 Anantnag, 1 Bandipora, 5 Ganderbal, 1 Kulgam and 1 from Shopian.
The number of positive cases in Kashmir division has reached 73,422 including 71,697 recoveries and 1,225 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 628 including 500 from Kashmir division.
With 40 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 122,542, which is 97.93 percent of the total cases.
