2 die, 452 fresh COVID cases in Kashmir

SRINAGAR, Sept 27: Two persons died of COVID-19 in Kashmir today taking the Jammu and Kashmir death toll to 1133 while Valley reported 452 fresh Corona cases taking the J&K tally to 72190.
One of the persons who died today was a 55-year-old resident of Dalgate and an 84-year-old from Rajouri Kadal Srinagar.
The man from Dalgate was admitted to SKIMS hospital in Soura on September 24 and died early today. He was diagnosed with severe Pneumonia with respiratory failure with T2DM, CKD and Encephalopathy. He had cardiopulmonary arrest during the night.
The octogenarian man from Rajouri Kadal was admitted on September 17 and died early today. He was also diagnosed with severe pneumonia and respiratory failure with T2DM, CKD.
And Kashmir reported 452 fresh Corona cases today taking the J&K tally to 72190.
Srinagar reported 181, Budgam 61, Baramulla 34, Pulwama 35, Anantnag 30, Bandipora 33, Kupwara 45, Ganderbal 12, Kulgam 8 and Shopian 13 cases.
With fresh COVID cases, Srinagar has 14385 positive cases with 2175 active, 11923 recovered, 287 deaths; Baramulla has 4249 positive cases with 1241 active, 2886 recovered, 122 deaths; Pulwama reported 3852 positive cases with 461 active cases, 3324 recovered, 67 deaths; Kulgam has 2252 positive cases with 137 active, 2072 recoveries, 43 deaths; Shopian has 2013 positive cases with 193 active, 1789 recovered, 31 deaths; Anantnag district has 3474 positive cases with 451 active, 2961 recovered, 62 deaths; Budgam has 4764 positive cases with 1116 active and 3567 recovered, 81 deaths; Kupwara has 3495 positive cases with 796 active, 2633 recovered, 66 deaths; Bandipora has 3352 positive cases with 671 active, 2645 recovered, 36 deaths and Ganderbal has 2831 positive cases with 495 active cases, 2308 recoveries and 28 deaths.
Officials said that out of 72190 positive cases, 18199 are active, 52859 have recovered and 1132 have died including 823 in Kashmir division.
He said that so far 1563309 samples were processed, 1491119 tested negative and 72190 positive.
Moreover, 568 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitalsin Kashmir today.
