Domicile at doorstep

Jammu, Sept 27: On the directions of Sushma Chauhan Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Rajesh Baru Tehsildar Jammu West has disposed off 100 percent domicile applications besides various other services under Public Service Guarantee Act in Tehsil Jammu West.
Tehsildar Jammu West by involving local Corporators, Sarpanchs, Panchs, Lambardars and Chowkidars has convened more than 28 door to door camps in various areas including four Panchayats and disposed off / issued more than 16000 Domicile Certificates in last two months thereby making 100 percent disposal in Tehsil Jammu West.
Rajesh Baru also recalled and sensitized all applicants to remain cautious and vigilant while applying online for Domicile Certificates in respective jurisdiction of their tehsils. People who are residing in areas like Talab Tillo, Bharat Nagar, Shankar Vihar, Patel Nagar, Shiv Nagar, Shakti Nagar, Bakshi Nagar, Sarwal, Rehari, New Plot, Bhagwati Nagar, Nitco Lane, UNO Lane, etc fall under old Tehsil Jammu located at Wazarat Road DC Office Jammu and should not apply in Tehsil Jammu West. He further added that nearly more than 7000 applications have been recieved from these areas and stands rejected because of same reason. So people from these areas have been advised to apply only in Old Tehsil Jammu.
