2-day VHP meet concludes

UDHAMPUR, Aug 1: The two-day State Committee meeting of Vishwa Hindu Parishad concluded here, today.
During the meeting various issues were deliberated by the participants which included issues of temples, security of cows, forcible conversions etc.
The meeting was addressed by Central general secretary, VHP , Miland Pandey and North Zone organizational secretary, Mukesh Kumar.
In their address they said VHP is working in 29 countries of the world at present in which many programmes have been launched for the betterment and upliftment of Hindus and strengthening Hindutva.
During the meeting Karan Singh and Satish Kotwal were elected additional Secretary of the UT. Nishu Gupta will look after the religious affairs of the UT. Capt (retd) Pawan Sharma will head Kathua district of VHP and Sushant Sharma was nominated head of Udhampur district.
Kartik Sudan will be convener of Bajrang Dal J&K while Bal Krishan Gupta will be treasurer of VHP for J&K.
The meeting also discussed the prevailing situation in the UT and chalked out future programmes.
The meeting was also attended by VHP State president, Leela Karan Sharma, working president, Rajesh Gupta, State general Secretary, Abhisheikh Gupta, State vice president, Shakti Dutt Sharma and Rajesh Bhasin etc.
