JAMMU, Mar 6: Two days national conference titled “Science and Technology for Sustainable Future: A Global Perspective”, organized by Indian Science Congress, Jammu Chapter, in collaboration with School of Sciences, Cluster University Jammu and Maulana Azad Memorial College Jammu, concluded today.
During the conference, the abstract book was released by the chief guest Prof Vijay Lakshmi Saxena, ( Immediate Past President of ISCA) in the presence of Prof Bechan Lal, Vice Chancellor. Cluster University of Jammu ( Chief Patron of the Conference ) and other officials from the collaborative institution.
Apart from the highly informative keynote address of Prof Vijay Lakshmi, the technical presentations of Dr Rajesh Thaper, Consultant Pharmaceuticals Industry and O P Sharma, garnered special highlight.
Post inaugural, the participants presented their highly scientific, environment-oriented observations through their well researched papers presentations in three parallel sessions covering various themes such as Life Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Anthropological and Behavioral Sciences.
On the second day participants witnessed special invited talk by Dr Bineshian Hoss, Principal Technical Director, Amberg Engineering, Australia who brought the fore sustainable tunnel technology while presenting his bevies on newly developed I-system clarification for tunnel technology.
Prof Bechan Lal, Vice Chancellor, Cluster University Jammu, delivered the expert lecture. Subsequently, three parallel sessions were conducted highlighting the themes such as Life Sciences, Mathematics, Health Sciences, Earth and Environment Sciences etc.
Prof M K Jyoti, member executive committee ISCA was the chief guest of the valedictory function. In his address, he threw light on various facets of the science and technology for sustainable future.
Earlier Dr Vishal Sharma, organizer secretary, presented the report of the conference. The conference ended on a promising note by serving as a platform for fostering dialogue, collaboration and action towards building a sustainable world. The proceeding were conducted by Dr Bharti Slathia. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Shelley Gupta, Coordinator of the conference.
