JAMMU, Jan 9: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today inaugurated Mandal training camp in Jammu East, with top leaders appealing the workers to cooperate in building a stronger, self-reliant India in line with the party’s ideology.
The two-day long camp was inaugurated by BJP J&K vice president, Yudhvir Sethi and Jammu district president, Vinay Gupta in presence of former Minister, Priya Sethi, Vikram Randhawa ex MLC, Purnima Sharma, Baldev Billawaria, Kuldeep Kandhari, Praveen Kerni, Ankush Gupta, Anil Masoom, Smita Koul and other leaders of the party.
The Mandal training camps are organised by the BJP every three years, after the formation of new teams.
Speaking on the occasion, Yudhvir Sethi said that such training camps go a long way in helping the new workers to understand the functioning and beliefs of the party. “BJP’s ideology is different from other political parties as it is focused around the national interest. We do not compromise in any way, when it comes to our country and its interests,” he added.
“The party made no compromise on abrogation of Article 370, construction of Ram Temple, framing of Uniform Civil Code and our territorial position vis-a-vis Pakistan and China; and the results are for everyone to see,” he said.
Sethi accused Congress and other political parties for the situation in the country. “The people of this country believed in our party and our ideology seven years ago and since then, the nation has progressed immensely on the path of development, in an unprecedented manner. This goes on to show how a no-compromise ideology can transform a nation and its people,” he said.
“BJP remains committed in its mission to provide free food, shelter and clothing to all its citizens,” he said and exhorted the workers to work closely in achieving this feat.
In his presidential lecture, Vinay Gupta, party district president for Jammu spoke at length on the importance of Mandal training camps.
“The BJP is where it is now, because of such camps every worker is sensitized of the party ideology in detail. It is important for every worker, whether new or old, to understand the history of the party and its ideological beliefs, so he or she can contribute in making this nation more vibrant and greater,” said Gupta.
Vikram Randhawa, Kuldeep Kandhari, Baldev Singh Billawaria, Karan Singh and Anju Dogra also spoke during the programme.
