KATHUA, Mar 3: A Police Head constable of Rajbagh Police Station and another constable of the same police station were attacked by some Gujjars in village Phambrah falling under the jurisdiction or Rajbagh Police Station.
The police said that one Gujjar Mohammed Yousf had let lose a reign of terror in the area as he was harassing the common man in the area daily.
Today after police received a complaint that the said goon along with his colleagues was engaged in thrashing some people in the area, the police authorities deputed Head Constable Saddar Din along with a cop to the area. After the two cops reached the village, they tried to defuse the situation. However Yousf and his colleagues instead of leaving the place attacked the two cops in turn with the result the HC received multiple injures and his leg was also fractured while the another cop was too injured. The duo was admitted in DH Kathua.
Rajbagh Police later arrested Yousf and registered a case under Section 307 of RPC against him.
