SAMBA, July 15: Two persons a woman and male consumed poison at two different places in Samba district during last 24 hours.
A woman consumed poisonous substance under mysterious circumstances in her house at village Nanga area of Sector Ramgarh in district Samba today.

When her family members saw her in unconscious condition, they immediately rushed her to Community Health Centre (CHC) Ramgarh for treatment where doctor washed her stomach and then referred her to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for further treatment.
Police said that she has been identified as Sunita Devi, 35 wife of Lt Raj Kumar resident of village Nanga Ramgarh.
In this regard, police have taken cognizance of the matter and started further investigations.
In another incident a man consumed poison substance under mysterious circumstances at his residence at village Raya Suchani area of Vijaypur in district Samba today.
According to the Police during the intervening night one person namely Brij Kumar, 45, son of Khem Raj resident of village Raya Suchani area of Vijaypur consumed poisonous substance at his residence under mysterious circumstances. Suddenly he started vomiting and then fell unconscious. His family members immediately brought him to Emergency Hospital Vijaypur for treatment wherefrom doctor referred him to GMC Hospital Jammu for specialized treatment.
In this regard police have taken cognizance of the matter and started further investigations.
