KATHUA, Sept 2: Police arrested two bovine smugglers and seized four bovine animals and load carrier in which they were being smuggled at village Kenya Gadyal near here, today.
According to police two bovine smugglers Makhan Singh, son of Dilveer and Saif Ali son of Qasim were taking four bovine animals in a load carrier via the village falling under the jurisdiction of Lakhanpur Police Station.
The cops of Police Post Kenya Gadyal on seeing the vehicle stopped it and found that four bovine animals were being smuggled in it from Punjab to J&K.
The Police arrested the smugglers and seized both animals as well as load carrier. The Police has also registered a case against them under relevant sections of the law. The load carrier was without number plate.
