UDHAMPUR, July 27: Foiling bovine smuggling attempt, Police today arrested two smugglers and rescued 10 animals.
Reports said that during regular checking of vehicles on the National Highway near Chenani Top, police intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK14B-4319 and recovered 10 bovine animals, which were being smuggled to Kashmir.
Police also arrested the smugglers, who were identified as Mohd Sharief of Reasi and Mohd Fareed of Miran Sahib.
