2 bookies arrested

JAMMU, Nov 4: Police arrested two bookies involved in betting in ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) matches.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Nagrota Police Station conducted raid and apprehended two persons involved in carrying out illegal betting during IPL matches.
The arrested persons were identified as Parshotam Kumar, son of Hans Raj and Vikram Singh, son of late Amar Singh, both residents of Nagrota District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 411/2020 under Sections 420 IPC and 3/4 Gambling Act has been registered against them at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Nagrota Inspector Mohammad Showket made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Parupkar Singh and SP Rural Sanjay Sharma.
