SRINAGAR, Sept 8: Police today said that two persons attempted to end their lives at two different places of Valley.
A police spokesman said that in an attempt to end her life, a 17 years old girl (name withheld) hailing from Lagoo Pora village of Kulgam district consumed some poisonous substance at her home. “The girl was shifted to District Hospital Kulgam where doctors referred her to Srinagar Hospital here for further treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” the spokesman said.
In another incident, a 25 years old youth (name withheld) hailing from Muqam Shawali village of Drugmulla in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district consumed some poisonous substance at his home. “He was shifted to District Hospital Kupwara where doctors referred him to SKIMS Soura for further treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” the spokesman added.
