JAMMU, Feb 23: Satwari police apprehended two Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) thieves.
As per police sources, on February 22, Bank Manager of State Bank of India lodged a complaint with Police Station Satwari stating that some unidentified persons attempted theft and damaged ATM of the bank and one printing machine of SBI Chatha.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 34/18 under Section 457, 380, 511 and 427 RPC was registered at Police Station Satwari and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, police arrested two juvenile involved in the offence. The juveniles disclosed that they got motivated to loot ATM through social media.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Satwari Inspector Manjeet Singh and assisted by Incharge Chatha Police Post SI Pawan Kumar Dogra made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Mohammad rafiq Manhas, SP South Sandeep Choudhary and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
