JAMMU, Aug 31: Gandhi Nagar police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested two drug peddlers along with 40 grams heroin from Shastri Nagar area, a police official said.
The accused have been identified as Sarjeevan Singh alias Laadi, son of Balbir Singh of Floura, Tehsil RS Pura and Rattan Lal alias Pidu, son of Tunda Ram of Agra Chak, Tehsil RS Pura.
The Innova car bearing registration number JK02AH-8372, in which the drug peddlers were traveling was also seized by the police.
A case under FIR Number 202/16 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered against them at Gandhi Nagar police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Bishesh Kumar and assisted by ASI Om Parkash made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Sachin Gupta and SP South Shaazad Salaria.
