19 injured in accident

KATHUA, Jan 27: Nineteen people were injured, four of them seriously when a mini bus bearing Registration Number Jk08A9421 rolled down near Dakhnaka village on Basantpur -Basohli road yesterday evening.
The mini bus was on the way from Basantpur to Kathua last evening and driver lost the control of vehicle which skidded off the road and turned turtle. All the passengers were injured.  The four serious passengers were referred to GMC Jammu for treatment.
The other injured persons were admitted to District Hospital Kathua for treatment .  The seriously injured passengers  were identified as Rahul S/o Vikram Singh residents of Dhanore,    Vishav Singh S/o Kartar Singh, Krishan S/o Parveen Singh resident of Ganthi and Nihal resident of Kardoh . The remaining injured are under treatment in District Hospital Kathua. The injured passengers said  that the mini bus was overloaded and it was in high speed with the result the driver could not control it while negotiating a sharp curve which led to the accident.
The police has registered a case in this connection and started investigation.
