19 injured in 4 road accidents

UDHAMPUR, Aug 20: Nineteen persons were injured, some of them seriously,  in four different road accidents, here today.
According to the police reports,  ten persons were injured when  a passenger bus  skidded off the road near Chubu Nallah, this morning. The bus,  bearing registration number JK02E-8539,  was on  way from Udhampur to Landher when it met with the accident,  about three kilo miters away from Kainth Gali.
Police and locals shifted  the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur.
After the bus accident,  locals held a strong protest  against the PWD by holding the department responsible for extremely poor  condition of the road.
The injured persons were identified as Police H/C Abdul Majid (41) son of Gulam Ahmed of Surankot, Anu Kumari (21) wife of Rakesh Kumar of Meer, Madhu Devi (24) wife of Mohinder Kumar of Meer, Kaka Ram alias Radhay Sham (56) son of Hari Sharn of Meer, Kiker Singh (60) son of Tirth Chand of Meer, Anjana Devi (27) wife of Madhan Lal of Kultyar, Geeta Devi (36) wife of Rattan Singh of Meer,  Pooja Devi (25) wife of Mohinder of Pangara, Archna Devi (28) wife of Madan Lal of Kultyar and Taneya Devi (21) daughter of Tirlok Chand of Kanthgali.
Meanwhile,   a CRPF bus bearing registration number JK02AF-3037, on its way from Kashmir to Jammu,  met with accident  near Toldi Nallha, resulting into serious injuries to three  CRPF men. The injured were  identified as Kevender Kumar of 75  CRPF Company, Mahinder Ram of 144  CRPF Company and Nasir Khan of 84 CRPF Company. They  have been shifted to GMC Hospital Jammu.
In another road accident, a tanker rolled down near Toldi Nallah. The tanker, bearing registration number JK02AC-9345, was on  way from Udhampur to Leh. Police and locals took the injured to District Hospital Udhampur. The injured were  identified as Jeewan Kumar (24) son of Prithavi Raj of Patnitop, Lok Nath (24) son of Shonku Ram of Kud and Pritam Chand (20) son of Chounku Lal of Madha.  Doctors referred Jewan Kumar to GMC&H Jammu in view of his serious condition.
Meanwhile, a could and their young son  were injured when their Santro car,  bearing registration number JK19-3888, skidded off the road near Garhi,   Police and locals took the injured to District Hospital Udhampur. The injured were  identified  Vikram Singh (52) son of Bharat Singh, his wife Shakti Devi (46) and son Malyan Singh (26), resident of  Ramban.
