19 bovines rescued, 3 smugglers arrested

REASI, July 12: Police rescued 19 bovine animals and arrested three smugglers.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Reasi Police Station led by SHO Inspector Ashwani Sharma and assisted by SI Ravi Kumar and SI Purshotam Sharma laid a naka and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02AT-7334.
During checking, police team rescued 12 bovine animals from the truck and arrested the driver, who has been identified as Majid, son of Hanief, a resident of Maralian Miran Sahib Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 140/19 under section 188 and 429 RPC and 3 PCA Act was registered at Police Station Reasi and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Post Tulli laid a naka and apprehended two persons, who were smuggling 7 cattle on foot.
The arrested persons have been identified as Bagh Hussain, son of Hakim Din and Mohammad Sadiq, both residents of Phalni Budhal District Rajouri.
A case under FIR Number 32/19 under section 188 RPC has been registered at Police Station Chassana and investigation started.
