REASI, May 27: District Police Reasi foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling and rescued 19 bovine animals from village Sarna, near Pond area besides arresting a father-son duo for the crime.
The arrested persons were identified as Mohd Shama son of Mohd Sadiq and his son Tariq Hussain , both the residents of Bamiyal, Tehsil Nagrota District Jammu. In this regard, a case FIR number 87/2020 U/S 188 IPC, has been registered at Police Station Katra and further investigation is going on.
The arrest was made by SHO Katra, Inspr Pardeep Gupta, under the supervision of SDPO Katra Kuljeet Singh and Addl SP Katra Amit Bhasin.
