JAMMU, Feb 25: Presiding Officer Sanjeev Gupta today awarded 18 years rigorous imprisonment and fine of Rs 1 lakh to one Pashori Lal, son of Prthivi Raj for raping a minor on April 10, 2009.
After hearing APP GS Charak for the State whereas Advocate Prince Khanna appearing for the accused, Presiding Officer Fast Track Court Sanjeev Gupta convicted the accused under Sections 376/363/342 RPC and awarded him 12 years imprisonment and fine of Rs 1 lakh.
In case fine amount will be realized from convict, then the same shall be paid to victim as compensation, the court directed.
