JAMMU, Oct 19: An 18-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance in Jourian area of city outskirts.
“Vishali daughter of Surinder, resident of Kullian (Jourian), consumed some poisonous substance at her residence in Kullian area of Jourian,” police sources said.
They said the girl was immediately taken to Sub District Hospital, Akhnoor, from where she was referred to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where she was declared as brought dead by the doctors.
Jourian Police had taken cognizance of the matter, sources added.
