18 DAGOs of CRPF call on IGP

JAMMU, June 8: Eighteen DAGOs (Officer Trainee) of CRPF of 47th batch of different States of the country had a briefing session with Danesh Rana, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu Zone, here today.
During interaction, IGP Jammu Zone briefed the officer trainee with regard to the challenges being faced by police and security forces in view of militancy, crime and law and order front in the State.
On border management, IGP Jammu Zone gave them detailed briefing with regard to the issues emerged due to ceasefire violation on International Border (IB) and Line of Control (LoC) and problems being faced by the police and civil administration dealing the situation in border area.
He also briefed them about the steps which required to taken in wake of migration of people in border area due heavy shelling by Pakistan troops from across the border. The officer trainees were also apprised about the method being taken to strengthen the Anti Infiltration Grid on IB and LoC in five border districts of Jammu Zone.
IGP also briefed them about the new emerging challenges in Jammu and Kashmir particularly in the Kashmir Valley as well as in the Jammu Province in view of the recently erupt of militancy related incident in Kashmir valley and radicalisation of youths into militancy in the Valley. He further briefed officers that social media has played very big and important role in countering the false and malicious propaganda of anti national elements in the present turmoil.
Danesh Rana advised them to work with more dedication, devotion and in professional manner to tackle the emerging challenges being face by the police and security forces on account of militancy and law and order so that image of police/security forces is improved in the opinion of general public.
