18 bovines rescued, 2 arrested

RAMBAN, Aug 1: Police rescued 18 bovine animals and arrested two persons.
As per police sources, during checking at Shan Palace, a team from Ramban Police Station intercepted a Srinagar bound truck bearing registration number JK02BQ-3171.
During checking, police rescued 18 cattle from the vehicle and arrested two persons, who have been identified as Abdul Rashid, son of Abdul Gani of Bishnah Jammu and Farooq Ahmed, son of Abdul Ajaz of Talab Tillo Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 112/18 under Sections 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered at Ramban Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Ramban Inspector Vijay Kotwal made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban Asgar Malik, Additional SP Ramban Sanjay Parihar and SSP Ramban Mohan Lal.
