MAJALTA, Aug 1: While chairing the meeting with general public and party cadres at Dhema (Majalta), MLA Ramnagar, R S Pathania today called for a greater focus on hitherto neglected, far-flung areas which have been bearing the brunt of under development since the past years. “Shortage of doctors, healthcare facilities and lack of state of art infrastructural activities have been major hiccups in addressing healthcare needs of the area,” he said adding that
Health sector in Ramnagar is highly staff-deficient and right from Kalwanta to Latti (150 kms by road) not even a single MBBS doctor is posted there.
He called for taking immediate remedial measures into the matter and also sought upgradation of CHC Ramnagar with provision of state-of-art facilities. He also demanded upgradation of PHC Majalta and PHC Basantgarh upto CHC level and setting up of an accidental Hospital at Manwal, Dhar road.
He also asked for setting up of Integrated AYUSH Hospital at Ramnagar and sought New PHCs at Majori, Kaitha, Satyan, Chowki, S K Ber, Ponara, Tajoor, Chowki, Badhole, Jansal.
“Whereas New-type PHCs at Pinger, Pachound and Marta were sanctioned vide G.O. 585-HME dt. 17-10-2014, all newly-sanctioned sub-centers in Ramnagar have failed to take off,” he rued and asked the authorities to immediately look into the matter and implement the Government orders.
While making out a case for proper development and projection of Manwal, he said that it is a historical fact that Manwal had been the largest developed township of North India of early medieval period. However, he rued, no state-of-art museum has been developed by ASI in order to showcase durable artifacts and excavated idols and articles. He called for developing it on the pattern of National Museum, New Delhi and the Red Fort Archaeological Museum.
