RAMBAN, Feb 2: Police here today seized 17 vehicles involved in illegal mining.
Sources informed that cops from Police Station Dharamkund led by SHO Inspector, Hargopal Singh under the supervision of Nihar Ranjan, SDPO Gool, under overall supervision of Mohita Sharma, SP Ramban in the presence of EMIC Sangaldan, raided at different locations in the jurisdiction of Police Station Dharamkund on specific inputs and seized 17 vehicles involved in illegal mining.
District Mining Officer (DMO) Ramban was also informed about the illegal mining and he slapped a fine of Rs. 3,70,000 as the mining was done in violation of J&K High Court orders.
