RAJOURI, Sept 2: At least 16 persons were injured when a mini-bus carrying pilgrims to Shahdara Sharief in Thannamandi was over turned after collision with a car near Sunderbani this afternoon.
The ill-fated vehicle No. JK02/8979 was on way to Shahdara Sharief from Reasi. A car No. PB11/ 8595 coming from Rajouri side collided with the mini-bus between Sunderbani and Bhamla. All the injured including car driver- Mohd Bashir from Rajouri town were rushed to Sunderbani hospital by police and locals of the area. Some of them were discharged after providing first aid by the doctors. Four were referred to GMC Hospital, Jammu.
The injured pilgrims were identified as Zinnat Naz, daughter of Mohd Latief; Karamat Din, son of Mohd Latief; Arshed Ahmed, son of Mohd Rashid; Abdul Qayoom, son of Mohd Latief; Mohd Rasool, son of Karamat Din; Malya and Zamila, daughters of Mohd Rashid; Mohd Rashid, son of Mohd Mubarak; Ruksana, wife of Mohd Nazir; Meera Bi, daughter of Mohd Nazir; Khadam Hussain, son of Mohd Nazir, Shadab, son of Mohd Mubarak; Mushtaq, son of Mohd Mubarak and Mohd Latief, son of Karamat Din. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
