JAMMU, Oct 15: JP World School, Jammu, hosted the grand opening ceremony of the 15th District Rope Skipping Championship 2025, marking a vibrant start to the much-awaited event. The ceremony was graced by Aparna Kohli, Principal JP World School; Danish Sharma, Technical Chairman, Rope Skipping Association of J&K; Rudrakshit Gupta, National Grade A Referee and Rohit Thakyal, Senior International Martial Artist. The event began with a traditional lamp lighting followed by a warm welcome to all 27 participating schools from across Jammu & Kashmir.
A brief presentation on rope skipping highlighted its accessibility and health benefits. Aparna Kohli formally declared the championship open and encouraged students to embrace discipline, fitness, and sportsmanship. The event reflects the dedicated efforts of the Rope Skipping Association of J&K, affiliated with J&K Olympic Association and Indian Rope Skipping Federation.
