JAMMU, July 24: The 157th Foundation Day of the Income Tax Department was celebrated as “Income Tax Day” with zeal and enthusiasm.
JAMMU: Commissionerate of Income Tax , J&K celebrated Income Tax Dayin collaboration with Jammu University by conducting various events here which included tree plantation at Government Model Middle School, Satwari. A seminar on the “Role of Direct taxes in Nation Building” was held at Jammu University, which was presided over by Vice Chancellor of Jammu University, Prof RD Sharma. Commissioner of Income Tax, RN Sahay, Additional CIT SK Sharma and ACIT Dr Ruveda Salam were also present on the occasion. Tree plantation was also held at Income Tax Guest House Resham Ghar colony Near Super Speciality hospital. All the events saw participation by the staff, eminent personalities like chartered accountants, President Traders Federation and students.
VIJAYPUR: On the occasion of Income Tax Day, a meeting was held at Government Higher Secondary School here, which was attended by Principal Anita Sambyal and staff members. While speaking, BK Raina, ITO explained that Income Tax Department is in the service of the nation for the past 157 years. He also explained the various provisions of the Income Tax Act. Later, he donated saplings and also planted them in the school premises along with others.
UDHAMPUR: The 157th foundation day of Income Tax Department was celebrated with zeal and fervour at Income Tax Office, here. On the occasion, a tree plantation function was organized in the presence of the Income Tax Bar Association. The Income Tax Officer, Udhampur ML Dogra addressed the prominent citizens on the day.
KATRA: Income Tax Day was celebrated by the Aaykar Parivaar at Income Tax Office, here. A tree plantation drive was held at Income Tax Office and Government Middle School Serli, Katra which was followed by distribution of sweets and gifts to the students. Speaking on the occasion, Dharmender Gupta, Income Tax Officer, Katra made the gathering aware about the role of Direct Taxes in nation building. A symposium was also organized which was attended by the distinguished citizens of the society. Banners and hoardings were also displayed at prominent places in Katra highlighting celebration of Income Tax Day and Department’s disposition on service to the nation and tax payers.
