SRINAGAR: As many as 1,555 police constables were promoted to the next level in Kashmir valley, a police spokesperson said here on Monday.
He said the Departmental Promotion Committee, under the chairmanship of Additional Director General (ADG) of Police Munir Ahmad Khan, approved a huge chunk of promotions in favour of 1,555 constables of Executive Wing to the rank of Selection Grade Constables having lien and seniority with Kashmir Zone.
