UDHAMPUR, Oct 12: A Forest team headed by Sanjeev Khajuria, Range Office, Udhampur has retrieved 150 kanals of forest land from the land grabbers, today.
The land was retrieved from land grabbers namely Mohd Din, son of Ali Mohd, resident of Pangari in Tikri. It was old encroachment case and land grabber had already been served notices.
Mohd Din had further sublet this piece of Forest land to number of families for growing crops on it. The area got evicted by removing all the brushwood fencing and crop with the help of field functionaries.
Block Officer, Guddar Sangial, Jyoti Sawroop and field staff under the direct supervision of DFO Udhampur, Harmohinder Singh conducted the operation.
