15 SMVDU employees injured in road mishap

JAMMU, July 26: Fifteen employees of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University sustained injuries when a university bus carrying them turned turtle while negotiating a sharp curve at Kakryal, this morning.
The injured were shifted to hospital and later referred to GMC Jammu for advanced treatment. Their condition was stated to be stable.
The accident took place around 9 am when the bus JK02AK-8303, which was hired by the SMVDU for transportation of its employees, skidded off the road and turned turtle near CRPF Camp Dhroti in Kakryal. A Police team, led by Incharge PP Kakryal, SI Ranjit Singh Rao, rushed to the spot and shifted all the injured to nearby hospital for first aid.
Later, 12 injured were referred to GMC Jammu for advanced treatment. They have been identified as Shevani Khajuria wife of Nishant Vaidya of Karan Nagar, Ajay Bhan son of N V Bhan of Bantalab, Priyanka wife of Gulshan Khajuria resident of Janipur, Rohit Gupta son of Subash Gupta, resident of Channi Himmat, Vijay son of Amar Nath of Bahu Fort, Anu wife of Raman Kumar of Gandhi Nagar, Sonu Sharma son of Vishva Nath of Tikri, Himmat son of R Nath Sharma of Gadi Garh, Vishal Koul son of DN Koul of Roop Nagar, Dheeraj son of Seeta Ram of Subash Nagar, Kapil Gupta son of Subash Chand of Channi, Pardeep Kumar son of Bansi Lal of Roop Nagar and Dinesh Slathia son of RS Slathia of Roop Nagar.
