JAMMU, Nov 12: Police rescued 15 bovine animals and arrested a smuggler from Satwari.
As per police sources, police team from Satwari police station laid a naka and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02AD-1279.
During checking, police rescued 15 bovine animals and arrested the driver of the vehicle, who has been identified as Khaleel Khan, son of Mohammad Amin, a resident of Balakote, tehsil Mendhar, district Poonch.
A case under FIR number 176/14 under Section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered at Satwari police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Satwari Inspector Kulbir Singh Choudhary and Incharge police post Gadigarh SI Vishal made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Gandhi Nagar Harjeet Singh, SP South Rahul Malik and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
