RAJOURI, June 17: The Police seized 15 bovine animals in two separate operation at Thannamandi and Nowshera area and arrested three smugglers last night.
Official sources said that Thannamandi police party led by SHO, N S Chib intercepted 12 bovine animals near Behrote during early hours today and seized all of them. The police also arrested two bovine smugglers. They were moving towards Mughal Road. The accused are identified as Sheeraz Ahmed, son of Habib Ullah and Mohd Afzal, son of Bashir Ahmed, residents of Behrote.
Nowshera police during last night intercepted a Tata Mobile vehicle No. JK04A/9357 and rescued three bovine animals. The police arrested driver Rashid Azmal hailing from Heerpur in Shopian. The vehicle was also seized.
