UDHAMPUR, Aug 4: Police here today rescued 15 bovines and arrested two smugglers.
Sources informed that cops from PS Chenani comprising of HC Dev Raj, Balwan Singh, Ab Rehman and SPO Raj Singh led by Inspector Sanjeev Chib, SHO PS Chenani under supervision of Charanjeet Singh, SDPO Chenani laid naka at Zero Morh, Chenani.
While checking a truck bearing registration number JKO2BQ-7769 cops found 15 bovine animals.
Two bovine smugglers were arrested on the spot. They were identified as Manjeet Singh S/o Mool Singh R/o Ward No. 01 Simbal Camp Jammu and Nazakat Ahmed S/o Mohd. Akbar R/o Quajikund, Srinagar
In this connection, a case in FIR No. 69/18 U/S 188 RPC, 3PCA Act stand registered at Police Station Chenani and further investigation of the cases was going on.
